(OPINIÓN) LA PASIÓN DE LA ACTRIZ CUBANA SUSANA PÉREZ POR TRUMP.

He leído con tristeza las declaraciones de un periodista de la Isla, que con todo el derecho del mundo critica la pasión trumpista de su compatriota, la actriz Susana Pérez. Su crítica es aceptable hasta que cae en el terrible error de llamarla “excubana”.

Nadie, ni comunistas, ni trumpistas ni demócratas ni a medio hervir tiene derecho alguno a desterrar verbal o físicamente a una persona del país donde nació por el hecho de pensar diferente. En la diversidad está la riqueza, pero los que no entienden de eso no pueden apreciarlo. Por eso la persecución del disidente que no es ni más ni menos que la persecución del diferente. Da igual que sea homosexual o librepensador. Molestan a quienes defienden el pensamiento único y otras barbaridades que a estas alturas apestan a consumo descontrolado de pastillas para la chochera.

El castigo a la diferencia es una arrogancia que se atribuyen en el mundo moderno única y exclusivamente las dictaduras. Lo hizo Franco en España y pasa en Cuba, cada vez que las autoridades dejan a alguno de los nuestros a las puertas de la Isla, sin poder entrar a ver a los suyos. Da igual si sus parientes se están muriendo o no. Es un chantaje emocional que no tiene perdón de Dios. Los comunistas entienden el país como algo suyo, como una propiedad. Los posesivos con carnet se atribuyen la legitimidad para querer lo mejor para todos.

Entienden que Cuba sólo puede tener futuro con ellos. Los demás, los que aspiran a una socialdemocracia, los liberales, los democristianos; los anexionistas o hasta los anarquistas, todos están equivocados. Cuba sólo puede sobrevivir con dignidad si al frente del Estado hay un comunista. Aunque tengan el país hecho polvo, da igual. Entienden que hemos nacido predestinados para aguantar, para soportarlos. Se equivocan.

Y el problema no es sólo de quienes han gobernado durante seis décadas inyectando el veneno de la intolerancia en la sociedad cubana. Esto es un problema de educación y los comunistas lo saben. Por eso se empeñan en pervertirla con el adoctrinamiento.

Ese periodista que llamó excubana a Susana Pérez no ha hecho otra cosa que repetir lo que le enseñaron: que los que no piensan como él no son cubanos. Error, pero no seré yo quien inicie una caza de brujas. Los cubanos no podemos permitirnos otra guerra similar entre buenos y malos. Entre rojos, arrepentidos y conversos.

Un país no se construye desde el odio y el miedo a la diferencia. Quienes queremos una Cuba diferente no podemos estar predispuestos a juzgar la afiliación política de nuestros hermanos. No estamos obligados a pensar como Susana Pérez, pero sí deberíamos estar obligados a hacer hasta lo imposible para que ella conserve su derecho a seguir pensando así.

Susana Pérez puede defender hoy a Trump como hace unos años alababa a Che Guevara. Entre ella y nosotros hoy puede haber un abismo ideológico y hasta hidrológico (o no). Pero los que no entendemos de rencores, la admiramos como actriz y lo que ella piense o deje de pensar no cambia las cosas. Es noticia, claro que sí, pero hasta ahí.

Somos muchos los que no vamos a votar siguiendo lo que marca la publicidad en la tele y por experiencia sé que la gente, por norma general y fuera de las dictaduras, vota lo que considera que es mejor para su bolsillo. Ni consignas, ni convicciones. Los electores lo que quieren es llegar a fin de mes, tener trabajo y poder llevar una vida tranquila con su familia. Todo lo demás es secundario: marketing, publicidad o propaganda.

Me sorprende muchísimo la gente que invierte energías en cuestionar el currículo político, las creencias religiosas o las posiciones ideológicas de sus compatriotas y luego ve normal un divorcio o una separación. Entienden que las personas puedan dejar de querer a otras personas, incluso, que se rompan amistades de años, pero no logran comprender que, de la misma manera, el pensamiento cambia.

Todo cambia. La Susana Pérez que aprendimos a querer como Charito no es la misma de hoy. Ni mejor ni peor. Sigue estando preciosa. El tiempo no pasa por ella. Yo, sinceramente, creo que tenemos que respetar su derecho a posicionarse del lado de quien ella quiera. Como si le da ahora por acaparar productos Goya. A mí me interesa como actriz. Ella y todos sus personajes forman parte de mi memoria visual; de mi vida. El resto del ruido, me sobra.

A pesar de que por experiencia sé que el comunismo todo lo que toca lo convierte en mierda, me repito una y mil veces que no hay ideologías buenas y malas. Todas son legítimas en democracia. Lo que de verdad marca la diferencia es la gestión y el respeto de los derechos humanos. No hay excubanos ni Cuba ni Martí tienen dueño. Esa islita es de todos y es nuestra responsabilidad conseguir que no la hundan en el mar con tanto odio de un lado y de otro. Ya está bien de luchas cainitas y de envolvernos en la bandera. No quiere más quien más lo repite. No ama quien más odia sino quien más construye. Ejercitemos la tolerancia. Es difícil y sé que no todos pueden, pero por favor, soñemos a lo grande.

Cuba can only survive with dignity if there is a communist at the head of the state. Even if they have the country in the dust, it doesn’t matter. They understand that we were born predestined to endure, to endure them. They are wrong.

And the problem is not just those who have governed for six decades injecting the poison of intolerance into Cuban society. This is an education problem and the communists know it. So they are determined to pervert it with indoctrination.

That journalist who called Susana Pérez an ex-Cuban has done nothing but repeat what they taught her: that those who do not think like him are not Cubans. Susana Pérez can defend Trump today as she praised Che Guevara a few years ago. Between her and us today there may be an ideological and even hydrological chasm (or not). But those of us who don’t understand grudges admire her as an actress and what she thinks or stops thinking doesn’t change things. It is news, of course, but so far.

There are many of us who are not going to vote following what advertising on TV marks and from experience, I know that people, as a general rule and outside of dictatorships, vote what they consider is best for their pocket. Neither slogans nor convictions. The voters what they want is to make ends meet, have a job, and be able to lead a quiet life with their family. Everything else is secondary: marketing, advertising, or propaganda.

I am very surprised by the people who invest energy in questioning the political curriculum, religious beliefs, or ideological positions of their compatriots and then see a divorce or separation as normal. They understand that people can stop loving other people, even that friends of years are broken, but they fail to understand that, in the same way, thinking changes.

Everything changes. The Susana Pérez that we learned to love as Charito is not the same as today. Neither better nor worse. It is still beautiful. Time does not pass by it. I honestly believe that we have to respect her right to position herself on whomever she wants. As if you are now hoarding Goya products. It interests me as an actress. She and all her characters are part of my visual memory; of my life. The rest of the noise, I have plenty.

Despite the fact that from experience I know that communism turns everything into shit, I repeat myself a thousand times that there are no good and bad ideologies. SE DISPARA EN CUBA LA DEMANDA POR EL DOLAR ($) DEBILITANDO LA MONEDA NACIONAL.

La venta de alimentos en dólares en algunas tiendas estatales de Cuba desató una demanda por el billete estadounidense en el mercado informal que debilitó a la moneda local, el CUC, que ya tiene muerte anunciada pero aún vive en las billeteras.

Los cubanos están en busca de dólares y de euros, que desde el 20 de julio pueden depositar en el banco y, con su tarjeta de débito, acudir a una de las 72 tiendas dispuestas para la venta de productos alimenticios y de aseo y comprar en divisas. En grupos de WhatsApp dedicados al comercio informal de divisas, el dólar llegó a venderse esta semana entre 1,25 CUC y 1,50 CUC, cuando la tasa en casas de cambio oficiales, que actualmente no cuentan con dólares, es de 0,97 CUC (peso cubano convertible).

Ante la especulación, y como si fuese una bolsa de comercio regulada, el administrador de uno de esos grupos suspendió las operaciones temporalmente. “La idea es que funcione este grupo, que te pueda ayudar y no confundir”, escribió el administrador, apodado Kraven. La divisa estadounidense comenzó a escasear incluso antes de la pandemia, con las restricciones de viajes a la isla aplicadas por la administración de Donald Trump a sus ciudadanos.

Pero con el cierre de fronteras por la covid-19, Cuba se quedó sin turismo, un motor vital para su economía y para el ingreso de dólares, encareciendo más el billete verde en la isla. Los dólares que quedan están en poder de miles de cubanos que reciben remesas de familiares en el exterior o que atesoraron esta moneda en los últimos años. Su circulación formal había sido suspendida en el 2004, hasta este mes de julio cuando se restableció para circulación bancarizada.

META: CAPTAR DIVISAS.

Con el coronavirus bajo control, Cuba busca captar divisas para enfrentar la crisis generada por la pandemia, sumada al endurecimiento del embargo de Washington, que le dificulta las operaciones comerciales. En un país de 11,2 millones de habitantes con un salario promedio de 40 dólares, el gobierno quiere aprovechar la capacidad adquisitiva de un sector de la población que recibe remesas o que tiene ingresos del sector privado, y que especialistas calculan en un 30% de la población. Ya desde 2019 en Cuba se venden en dólares algunos electrodomésticos.

Al ver la alta demanda, el gobierno retiró este mes el 10% de gravamen que tenía el dólar desde 2004 para compras, para estimular el consumo. Con las divisas recaudadas espera mantener la oferta de alimentos en un país que importa casi la totalidad de lo que consume. La mayoría de tiendas del país continuará vendiendo en las monedas tradicionales CUP (24 CUP hacen un dólar) y CUC, pese al “ costo tremendo ” que ello significa, dijo el presidente Miguel Díaz-Canel, pues estas operaciones son financiadas por el Estado.

¿FIN DEL CUC?

Como parte de las reformas a su economía de corte soviético, Cuba planea desde 2011 terminar su dualidad monetaria, eliminando el CUC y dejando el CUP, pero aún sin fecha de aplicación. Es un proceso complejo porque no se trata de eliminar solo un billete sino también tasas de cambio preferenciales. Mientras un ciudadano necesita 24 CUP para comprar 1 CUC, varias empresas estatales tienen la tasa de 1 CUP para 1 CUC, cálculos que el propio gobierno reconoce que distorsionan la economía.

Nació el 7 de julio de l987, en La Habana. Comenzó su vida artística a los cinco años de edad, cuando subió por primera vez al escenario para cantar “La Sirenita”, tema de una película de Disney.

Egresó de la escuela de música “Manuel Saumel”, como graduada de nivel elemental en Dirección Coral; y luego de la “Guillermo Tomás”, donde se formó como pianista acompañante.

La música le viene por tradición familiar: es hija de Ernesto Bacallao y nieta de Felo Bacallao, cantantes de la emblemática Orquesta Aragón.

En su trayectoria como vocalista, la joven se ha presentado en disímiles eventos en Cuba, se distingue por la participación en varias ediciones del Festival Boleros de Oro. Durante años ha intervenido también en los homenajes al insigne cantante cubano Benny Moré.

Con solo 10 años realizó su primera gira internacional, para presentar en Japón el espectáculo “Cuba Tropical”.

Desde hace algunos años forma parte del prestigioso catálogo de PMM y la compañía iEvents para potenciar su carrera a nivel internacional. Es así en 2015 y 2016 presentó en Estados Unidos su disco, Solo se vive una vez, con el sello Planet Records y en noviembre del propio año realizó giras por Europa, México y Trinidad Tobago.
