La nueva aplicación para teléfonos de Martí Noticias ya puede descargarse gratuitamente en las plataformas de iTunes y Android. Con un nuevo diseño y accesibilidad pensados para poder navegar con las condiciones de conectividad de Cuba, se estrena con muchas más funciones, un aspecto más fácil e intuitivo y novedades como la posibilidad de personalizar el aspecto de las noticias o enviar tus historias con texto e imágenes.

Un proxy integrado, configurado para evadir la censura en Internet, te permite también navegar sin ser detectado y acceder a todo el contenido, sin restricciones.

La app está disponible tanto para smartphones como para tabletas, de Android o iPhone/iPad indistintamante.

Hemos diseñado una aplicación pensando en la escasa conectividad a Internet en Cuba y los altos precios que han de pagar los internautas para acceder a la red. Con esta mejora, el contenido de nuestras noticias se adapta a la velocidad de conexión de tu dispositivo, ajustando (o suprimiendo) la calidad de las imágenes para que puedas verlas rápidamente.

Además, puedes guardar tus noticias para leerlas más tarde en modo offline, es decir, sin necesidad de estar conectado. Para ello sólo tienes que pinchar en el icono de la estrella situado en la parte superior de cada artículo y quedará disponible para su lectura después, en la sección “Guardado para ver offline”.

Comparte y lee historias relacionadas

En un solo clic puedes enviar las noticias a tu red de contactos o compartirlas en redes sociales. El botón de “Compartir” te enlaza directamente con tu cuenta de Facebook, Twitter o correo electrónico para que publiques el contenido seleccionado.

Envía tus textos, fotos y vídeos de Cuba

Con la opción de navegación offline es posible ver los contenidos guardados sin conexión a Internet.

La nueva aplicación también te permite enviar a la redacción de Martí Noticias textos y contenido multimedia desde el dispositivo. Sólo tienes que pulsar el icono de la parte superior derecha y se abrirá un nuevo cuadro con tres opciones: Foto/vídeo, Audios y Texto. Una vez hayas insertado lo que consideres relevante y noticioso sólo tienes que darle al botón de “Enviar”.

Personaliza cómo ves las noticias

Una de las nuevas herramientas la encontrarás en el menú de “Opciones”, en el apartado “Ajustar”. Desde ese lugar puedes seleccionar la apariencia de las noticias y de la pantalla de inicio según tus intereses. Puedes escoger si quieres ver imágenes en los artículos, el tamaño de la letra o el número de artículos que te mostrará la aplicación en cada sección entre otras cosas.

TELEFONICAS DE EEUU PAGA EN LLAMADAS A CUBA MAS DE $856 MILLONES EN SEIS AÑOS.

A pesar del vaivén en las tensiones políticas bilaterales y la permanencia del embargo, hay algo que fluye admirablemente entre La Habana y Washington: las compañías de telecomunicaciones de Estados Unidos se mantienen como el principal y mejor cliente de la estatal Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba (ETECSA).

Las más recientes estadísticas suministradas por la Comisión Federal de Comunicaciones de EEUU (FCC, por sus siglas en inglés) indican que en el período de seis años entre 2007-2012 ETECSA acumuló $856.09 millones en ingresos provenientes del tráfico originado y pagado en territorio estadounidense. Si a esto se suma la contribución de la comunidad cubana y otros sectores para sufragar los costos del 90% de los celulares prepagados de familiares y amigos en la isla, cuyo monto se estima en unos $40 millones mensuales, no cabe duda del aporte determinante de las relaciones de telecomunicaciones Cuba-EEUU.

Desde prácticamente su constitución en 1994, ETECSA contó como su mayor fuente de ingresos el tráfico de llamadas originadas en Estados Unidos, que a pesar de sus altibajos durante dos décadas, se ha mantenido en un nivel elevado.

El análisis se basa no solo en los datos de la FCC, organismo gubernamental encargado de regular las comunicaciones interestatales e internacionales, sino también por las estadísticas cubanas que abarcan el mismo período. La tabla que sigue a continuación describe en millones la cantidad de llamadas, minutos e ingresos:

Durante los seis años registrados se hace notar un pico en el volumen de llamadas e ingresos en el 2008, coincidiendo con la fecha en que el gobierno de Raúl Castro autorizó a los cubanos el acceso a la telefonía celular. Ese año los 60 millones de llamadas de entrada a Cuba reportaron ingresos por $219 millones de dólares, una cifra no superada en años anteriores y posteriores y que marcó el 71% del tráfico total de entrada a la isla.

Aunque las cifras compiladas por la FCC solo llegan hasta el 2012, ETECSA reportó en el 2013 un crecimiento del 23% del tráfico de llamadas internacionales con relación al período precedente, lo que significaría un récord de ingresos a sus arcas.

Pero aún sin los datos de la FCC en términos financieros, es lógico calcular que una porción mayoritaria de los 130.7 millones de llamadas y 510.9 millones de minutos experimentados en el trático internacional telefónico de Cuba corresponde a las llamadas de entrada y salida con usuarios de Estados Unidos, lo que podría elevar las ganancias de ETECSA hasta un monto superior a los $1,000 millones por los últimos siete años.

Los restantes años de la relación telefónica Cuba-EEUU, marcados por la difícil situación económica internacional, mantienen niveles de tráfico e ingresos altos pero fluctuantes, con una tendencia a la recuperación y el crecimiento. Después del descenso experimentado entre 2009-2011, la reanimación fue evidente en el 2012: 53 millones de llamadas de entrada, que reportaron $169.3 millones de dólares a ETECSA.
