A NEW BEAUTIFUL CUBAN ARTIST IN SPAIN TELEVISION.

En la exitosa serie ‘Mar de Plástico’, exitosa producción de Boomerang TV para el canal Antena 3 de la madre patria, ha marcado el debut de una joven de origen cubano que llegó a España junto a su madre cuando solo tenía 10 años de edad.

Yaima Ramos, interpreta a Fara, una risueña chica guineana, hermana pequeña de Khaled «Will Shephard» nacido en República Dominicana y quien se convierte en capataz de jornaleros de un rico empresario.

Ella cuenta que ambos trabajaba en un tienda y aunque se presentaron por separados en el casting ya era muy buenos amigos y resultó sumamente agradable compartir juntos papeles tan afines en la trama.

Yaima, bailarina de 26 años había formado parte del elenco de un vídeo grabado en España por la popular cantante colombiana Shakira y su primera incursión en la pequeña pantalla fue en un anuncio de las navidades.

Vive en Madrid junto a su progenitora, acostumbrada a echar de menos a los suyos, que siguen viviendo al otro lado del charco, y cuenta que ha hecho cursos de interpretación con Javier Manrique, Santiago Zannou y Cristina Rota.

HISTORY OF HE CUBAN COINS.

Si nos remontamos a los orígenes de la historia de la moneda en Cuba, podríamos señalar indicios en los primeros tiempos de la colonia con España, entre 1512 y 1515, cuando se utilizaron barras de oro fundidas en Bayamo y Santiago de Cuba, las cuales se fraccionaban de acuerdo al volumen de las transacciones, a fin de cubrir la necesidad de dinero que tenían nuestros colonizadores para las operaciones de comercio.

El deseo de tener una moneda autentica cubana solo vino a plasmarse cuando el Padre de la Patria, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, en 1869, logró la emisión de papel moneda, impreso en Nueva York durante la Guerra de los Diez Años.

Se conoce que las primeras piezas con características de moneda que fueron acuñadas en Cuba, se remontan a 1741, cuando producto del bloqueo de Santiago de Cuba por las tropas estadounidenses, durante la llamada “Guerra de la Oreja de Jenkins” se originó la necesidad de utilizar dichas piezas ante la falta de circulante.

Lógicamente la rusticidad y una proporción en metal inferior a su valor fueron características de estas piezas artesanales. Pero puede decirse a criterio de entendidos en la materia que son ellas las únicas piezas hasta ahora conocidas que fueron acuñadas en Cuba antes del comienzo de las actividades de la Empresa Cubana de Acuñaciones en julio de 1977.
