Orlando González Soto, más conocido como Orlando Contreras nacio un 22 de mayo de 1930 en La Habana, Cuba y fue un cantante de bolero cubano, conocido por sus fans como “La Voz Romántica de Cuba”.
Contreras se inició cantando en varios grupos musicales de La Habana, entre ellos el trío de Arty Valdés; para luego, de 1952 a 1956 actuar en la orquesta de Neno González. En esa orquesta alcanzó cierta popularidad hasta el punto de grabar un disco que salió exitoso. Al tiempo que trabajaba en la orquesta de Neno, también trabajaba en el Conjunto Casino.
Luego se convirtió en solista.
En 1961 grabó más discos que lo ubicaron en los primeros lugares, y por aquel entonces trabajó en el Alí Bar al lado de Benny Moré, Fernando Álvarez y Orlando Vallejo. También trabajó en el conjunto Musicuba.
En septiembre de 1965 se embarcó hacia Estados Unidos. Le siguió gustando el mar, ya que entre 1966 y 1970 actuó en un barco turístico portugués; al tiempo que seguía grabando.
Hacia los años 70 grabó un disco de antología con Daniel Santos y realizó giras por América y España. Finalmente se radicó en la Capital de la Montaña, donde en los años 60, él y Daniel Santos fueron «proclamados» como los jefes por los clientes de los bares y cantinas del centro de la ciudad. Allí tuvo la oportunidad de grabar junto a la afamada orquesta Fruko y sus Tesos.
SU MUERTE
Falleció en la ciudad de Medellín (Colombia) el 9 de febrero de 1994 a las 7:00 de la mañana, bajo circunstancias que aún hoy no están claras. Extrañamente fue cremado dos horas después, sin autopsia, a las 9:00 a. m. dos horas después de muerto.
En ese momento apareció la mujer que trabajaba como empleada doméstica en su casa, con los papeles de su matrimonio con el cantante. Una hipótesis afirmaba que podría haber sido envenenado.
Su muerte causó gran conmoción y tristeza en el mundo de la música, que aún hasta nuestros días lloran su ausencia, tanto por sus cualidades interpretativas, que eran unicas e inolvidables como por su don de gente, de persona campechana, de trato afable, de hombre dado a realizar obras de caridad, de ayudar a quien lo necesitare, sin condición alguna. En colombia fue un artista muy querido por las actividades publicas y privadas que realizaba sin ninguna clase de interes, por su disposición siempre a compartir con sus semejantes.

Orlando González Soto, better known as Orlando Contreras, was born on May 22, 1930 in Havana, Cuba and was a Cuban bolero singer, known by his fans as “The Romantic Voice of Cuba.”
Contreras began singing in several musical groups in Havana, including the Arty Valdés trio; then, from 1952 to 1956, he performed in Neno González’s orchestra. In that orchestra he achieved a certain popularity to the point of recording a successful album. While working in Neno’s orchestra, he also worked in Conjunto Casino.
In 1961 he recorded more albums that placed him in the first places, and at that time he worked at the Alí Bar alongside Benny Moré, Fernando Álvarez, and Orlando Vallejo. He also worked in the Musicuba ensemble.
In September 1965 he embarked for the United States. He continued to like the sea since between 1966 and 1970 he acted on a Portuguese tourist boat; while continuing to record.
Around the 70s he recorded an anthology album with Daniel Santos and toured America and Spain. Finally, he settled in the Capital of the Mountain, wherein the 1960s, he and Daniel Santos were “proclaimed” as the bosses by the customers of the bars and canteens in the city center. There he had the opportunity to record with the famous Fruko y sus Tesos orchestra.
HIS DEATH
He died in the city of Medellín (Colombia) on February 9, 1994, at 7:00 in the morning, under circumstances that are still unclear today. Strangely, he was cremated two hours later, without an autopsy, at 9:00 a.m. m. two hours after death.
At that moment, the woman who worked as a maid in her house appeared, with the papers of her marriage to the singer. One hypothesis claimed that he could have been poisoned.
His death caused great shock and sadness in the world of music, which even to this day mourn his absence, both for his interpretive qualities, which were unique and unforgettable and for his gift of people, of a hearty person, of affable treatment, of man given to carry out works of charity, to help those who need it, without any conditions. In Colombia, he was a very loved artist for the public and private activities that he carried out without any kind of interest, for his always willing to share with his peers.

Carlos Armando Ponce Freyre Jr. nació el 4 de septiembre de 1972. Es un actor, músico, modelo y personalidad de la televisión cubano-puertorriqueño
. Ponce comenzó su carrera como actor participando en telenovelas en español para Televisa y Telemundo. Ponce continuó expandiendo su carrera como actor participando en varias series de televisión estadounidenses.
No se limitó únicamente a una carrera en televisión. Ponce, quien también es cantante, también está activo en la industria cinematográfica estadounidense como actor de personajes. SU VIDA TEMPRANA
Ponce nació en Santurce, Puerto Rico. Sus padres, Carlos Ponce Sr. y Esther Freyre, emigraron de Cuba después de la Revolución Cubana liderada por Fidel Castro. Después de su nacimiento, la familia se mudó a Humacao, donde Ponce se crió. ARTISTIC CAREER

HIS EARLY LIFE
Ponce was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. His parents, Carlos Ponce Sr. and Esther Freyre, emigrated from Cuba after the Cuban Revolution led by Fidel Castro. ARTISTIC CAREER

From 2010 to 2016, he was in a relationship with Colombian actress Ximena Duque.
In 2018, he began a relationship with Mexican television host Karina Banda. They married in December 2020.

La Ciénaga de Zapata: es una zona pantanosa ubicada en la Península de Zapata, en el sur de la provincia de Matanzas de Cuba, en el municipio de Ciénaga de Zapata. Se encuentra a menos de 150 kilómetros (93 millas) al sureste de La Habana.
La Ciénaga de Zapata, con una superficie total de 10 499 km2, se encuentra en la parte sur de la provincia de Matanzas. En sus límites se encuentra una excepcional riqueza de flora y fauna, garantizada por la presencia de más de 900 especies de plantas, 160 especies de aves y numerosas especies de mamíferos, peces, anfibios y reptiles, entre los que destaca el cocodrilo cubano, sin embargo destaca la ausencia total de peligros para el hombre como serpientes venenosas o animales feroces – inexistentes en Cuba – lo que permite un ambiente seguro.
De Ciénaga de Zapata dicen que es naturaleza, es decir, bosques vírgenes, vegetación de pantanos y ciénagas, manglares milenarios, hermosas playas sin contaminación alguna.
El acceso a la región se realiza a través de una carretera que conecta con la Carretera Nacional hasta Jagüey Grande, en el Km 142. La visita a esta región se inicia en el extremo norte luego de salir de la carretera nacional. Allí se encuentran:
– Boca de Guama: a 18 km de la Carretera Nacional, se crearon criaderos de cocodrilos en 1962 con el objetivo de proteger la especie, se pueden tomar fotografías de individuos de diversos tamaños.
– Laguna del Tesoro: se accede en lancha desde Boca del Guama a través de un canal rodeado de espesa vegetación. La Laguna del Tesoro es una hermosa zona lacustre natural de 9.0 km2 y profundidad promedio de 4 m, rodeada de vegetación virgen y con abundantes truchas.
– Playa Larga: ubicada a 12 km al sur de La Boca, en el extremo interior de la Bahía de Cochinos, Playa Larga ofrece los atractivos habituales de una hermosa playa, una de las mejores de la costa sobre el Mar Caribe en la isla y donde además se encuentra un magnífico arrecife coralino sin bellos fondos marinos.
– Playa Girón: ubicada en la entrada este de la Bahía de Cochinos y a 34 km al SE de Playa Larga, Playa Girón recuerda su nombre al pirata francés de origen Gilbert Girón quien se refugió en la zona allá por el siglo XVII.
– La Cueva de los Peces: entre Playa Larga y Playa Girón se encuentra una especie de cenote profundo con aguas cristalinas que contienen peces. El buceo en la Ciénaga de Zapata en gran medida está ligado a los antiguos sistemas cavernarios de la zona cuyos techos se derrumbaron.

The Zapata Swamp (La Cienaga de Zapata) : is a swamp area located on the Zapata Peninsula in the southern Matanzas Province of Cuba, in the municipality of Ciénaga de Zapata. It is located less than 150 kilometres (93 mi) southeast of Havana.
Zapata Swamp, with a total area of 10 499 km2, is located in the southern part of the province of Matanzas. In its boundaries lies a exceptional richness of flora and fauna, guaranteed by the presence of more than 900 plant species, 160 bird species and numerous species of mammals, fish, amphibians and reptiles, including the Cuban crocodile stands there, however noted the total absence of dangerous man as poisonous snakes or fierce animals – nonexistent in Cuba allowing a safe environment.
Cienaga de Zapata say that is nature, ie virgin forests, swamps and bogs vegetation, ancient mangroves, beautiful beaches without any pollution.
