ARRESTADOS EN PLACETAS, VILLA CLARA POR LA “EXPLOTACIÓN ILÍCITA” DE YACIMIENTOS DE ORO.
Varias personas están detenidas y bajo investigación en Villa Clara por la explotación ilícita de yacimientos de oro en la localidad de Guaracabulla, municipio de Placetas, informó la estatal Agencia de Información Nacional (AIN).
Según la AIN, que no precisó el número de arrestos, desde hace meses “personas con fines lucrativos venían socavando parcelas de terrenos en zonas aledañas al poblado de Guaracabulla, donde existen pequeños yacimientos de oro”.
La información fue dada a conocer en una reunión de funcionarios del Gobierno con vecinos de la zona, parte de los ejercicios nacionales contra “indisciplinas sociales” que realizan los Comités de Defensa de la Revolución (CDR, el sistema barrial de delación y control social del régimen).
Daily Carrazana, funcionaria de la fiscalía provincial de Villa Clara, dijo que este tipo actos está contemplado en el Código Penal vigente como “el delito de actividades económicas ilícitas y el delito de hurto, más aún si atentan contra la salud y la economía de la sociedad”.
El especialista de la Oficina Territorial de Recursos Minerales Maddiel Reyes indicó por su parte que “el subsuelo es propiedad del Estado, único autorizado a la extracción de minerales con fines investigativos y explotación, amparado en la Ley de Minas”. Solo el gobierno, nadie más.

ARRESTED IN PLACETAS, CUBA FOR THE “ILLEGAL EXTRACTION ” IN GOLD DEPOSITS .
Several people are in custody and under investigation in Villa Clara in the illegal exploitation of gold deposits in the town of Guaracabulla , Placetas, reported the state National Information Agency ( AIN ) .
According to AIN , which did not specify the number of arrests for months ” people came undermining profit parcels of land in areas surrounding the town of Guaracabulla where there are small deposits of gold.”
The information was released at a meeting of government officials with locals , some national exercises against ” social indiscipline ,” performed by the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution ( CDR , the neighborhood system of denunciation and social control regime).
Carrazana Daily , an official of the provincial prosecutor of Villa Clara , said such acts are referred to in the Criminal Code as ” the crime of illegal economic activities and the crime of theft , even if more harmful to the health and economy of the society. ”
The specialist Territorial Office of Mineral Resources Maddiel Reyes said for his part that ” the subsoil is owned, only authorized the mining and exploitation for research purposes , protected by the Mining Act .” Only the government, nobody else.
