Un hermoso homenaje a la Reina de la Salsa Celia Cruz rindió el reconocido Festival Viña del Mar de Chile, este martes, durante la apertura de su tercera noche.
Artistas chilenos recordaron a una de las cantantes más importantes de Latinoamérica en el anfiteatro de la Quinta Vergara, en Valparaíso, donde interpretaron y bailaron varias de las canciones que la icónica artista cubana convirtió en éxitos mundiales.
“La vida es un carnaval”, “La negra tiene tumbao”, “Yo viviré”, “Quimbara”, “Te busco” y “Oye como va” resonaron en el emotivo tributo a Celia de Viña 2024.
Francisca Valenzuela dio inicio al homenaje regalando al público su interpretación de “Yo viviré”, la versión de Celia del clásico del disco “I Will Survive”:
Le siguió María Becerra, que no dejó a nadie quieto en la famosa quinta cuando entonó el himno que inmortalizó la cubana: “La vida es un carnaval”.
Flor de Rap, Young Cister y Ale Sergi continuaron poniéndole sabor, ritmo y sentimiento a la noche chilena, con fragmentos de otros temas de la Guarachera de Cuba, en los que se escucharon flashes de su propia voz.
La página del evento, que concluyó este viernes, aseguró que la presentación en honor a Celia Cruz “quedaría en la historia del festival latino más grande del mundo”.
Hace apenas una semana, la agrupación cubana Gente de Zona regaló una de las grandes sorpresas de la 36° edición de los Premios Lo Nuestro, al presentar una inesperada “colaboración” de lujo junto a la desaparecida cantante cubana.
Alexander Delgado y Randy Malcom realizaron un emotivo tributo a Celia Cruz en el Kaseya Center de Miami, la noche del 22 de febrero, cuando -gracias a la tecnología- fundieron sus voces con la de la icónica artista en la interpretación de “Ella tiene fuego” y “La negra tiene tumbao”.

A beautiful tribute to the Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz was paid by the renowned Viña del Mar Festival in Chile, this Tuesday, during the opening of its third night.
Chilean artists remembered one of the most important singers in Latin America at the Quinta Vergara amphitheater, in Valparaíso, where they performed and danced several of the songs that the iconic Cuban artist turned into global hits.
“Life is a carnival”, “La negra tiene tumbao”, “Yo viviré”, “Quimbara”, “Te busco” and “Oye como va” resonated in the emotional tribute to Celia de Viña 2024.
Francisca Valenzuela began her tribute by giving the audience her interpretation of “Yo viviré”, Celia’s version of the classic from the album “I Will Survive”:
She was followed by María Becerra, who left no one standing still in the famous villa when she sang the hymn that the Cuban immortalized: “Life is a carnival.”
Flor de Rap, Young Cister and Ale Sergi continued to add flavor, rhythm and feeling to the Chilean night, with fragments of other songs by Guarachera de Cuba, in which flashes of her own voice were heard.
The page for the event, which concluded this Friday, assured that the presentation in honor of Celia Cruz “would remain in the history of the largest Latin festival in the world.”
