MENSAJE DE WILLY CHIRINO A LOS MEDICOS CUBANOS QUE NO REGRESARON A LA ISLA.
El popular cantante Willy Chirino ha dado su apoyo a los médicos cubanos que salieron de la Isla a cumplir ‘misión’ en países de América Latina y decidieron no regresar a su país, so pena de que el Gobierno de Cuba los condene a ocho años de destierro y les impida legalizar sus documentos para ejercer la Medicina en el extranjero.
Los médicos cubanos han iniciado una fuerte campaña en las redes sociales pidiendo la reactivación del Cuban Medical Professional Parole, que Obama suspendió en 2017. En esencia, este programa migratorio les permitiría pedir asilo en cualquier embajada de Estados Unidos en el mundo y residir un año y un día en EE.UU. para luego poder aplicar a la ciudadanía norteamericana.
En un vídeo compartido en Twitter por el grupo 100% Cubanos, pero médicos de zona, Willy Chirino se dirige a los más de 2.500 médicos cubanos que decidieron quedarse en Brasil, a los que están en Colombia y a los más de 200 que todavía se encuentran en territorio venezolano.

“Quiero que sepan, hermanos, que no están olvidados, que están muy presentes en nuestras mentes. Ya hay varias personas trabajado dentro de la Administración del presidente Trump para lograr que puedan ser recibidos en este país y puedan seguir con sus vidas y hacer algo importante en sus carreras. Paciencia, hermanos, paciencia, calma, que ese día ya viene llegando”, señaló el artista cubanoamericano.
Tras el mensaje grabado, los médicos que no quieren regresar a la Isla mostraron su agradecimiento a la solidaridad de un “grande entre grandes”, cuya música es “himno y fuente de inspiración moral y cultural para los miles de médicos cubanos libres”. De hecho, ellos la han utilizado para darle fuerza a sus vídeos.
De esta forma Willy Chirino se suma a las personalidades de la música y la universidad que recientemente han dado su apoyo a los médicos cubanos que no quieren regresar a Cuba.
