Florida se ha convertido en los últimos años en un verdadero imán para millonarios y contribuyentes de altos ingresos que, en busca de menores cargas fiscales y una mejor calidad de vida, abandonan estados tradicionalmente ricos como Nueva York.
De acuerdo con un informe de la Comisión de Presupuesto Ciudadano (CBC) citado por Bloomberg Línea, entre 2017 y 2023, cerca de 30,000 neoyorquinos se trasladaron a los condados de Palm Beach y Miami-Dade, muchos de ellos con ingresos que superan los 250,000 dólares anuales.
Este fenómeno ha tenido un impacto fiscal considerable. Nueva York ha perdido más de 9,200 millones de dólares en ingresos por concepto de impuestos, mientras Florida ha visto incrementarse su riqueza local y su atractivo como centro de poder económico.

Recently, Trump ended protection programs such as humanitarian parole and reinstated measures that seek to severely limit the entry and stay of migrants in the United States.
