HUBO UN TIEMPO en que las historias oficiales estaban mejor construidas o quizás éramos más crédulos. En aquellos años, nos pintaban peligros que realmente asustaban, malos que daban miedo y ataques que le paraban los pelos de punta a cualquiera. Tal vez era nuestra ingenuidad como pueblo combinada con el monopolio informativo del que gozaba entonces el Partido Comunista, pero bastaba que nos dijeran que “el enemigo” planeaba envenenar las cisternas de círculos infantiles y colegios para que todos dejáramos, por unos días, de tomar una gota de agua en la escuela.
De aquellos hábiles narradores y de nuestra inocencia no queda ni el recuerdo. Para este fin de año, Televisión Cubana se ha lanzado a crearnos el enésimo relato de que, desde el exilio cubano, se preparan sabotajes, se alistan armas y se planifican desembarcos. El ejemplo difundido da risa. Un hombre en solitario, que supuestamente llegó a la Isla en una moto acuática, armado de tres pistolas y con unas pocas balas. Ante tal descripción, uno no puede dejar de evocar cuando, en las historias de antaño, el villano infundía realmente temor y no lástima.
Para este fin de año, Televisión Cubana se ha lanzado a crearnos el enésimo relato de que, desde el exilio cubano, se preparan sabotajes, se alistan armas y se planifican desembarcos
No es casual, tampoco, que cada vez que la crisis económica escala y la indignación popular crece, aparecen estos reportajes con todas las trazas de seguir un guion para asustar a los cubanos y así evitar que muestren su inconformidad, se lancen a las calles o se sumen a una huelga general. La teatralidad de los guiones creados con ese objetivo ha abandonado hace tiempo el realismo y se han adentrado en el terreno de lo fantástico, apelando a individuos, planes y dispositivos cada vez más rocambolescos.
Los más recientes delirios persecutorios y de invasión que han difundido los propagandistas oficiales muestran un nivel de desespero muy elevado. Han perdido cualquier ápice de objetividad, si es que alguna vez la tuvieron, para terminar en lo absolutamente grotesco. Así, con esas caricaturas de presuntos malvados y agresiones, no hay quien se crea nada.
Un consejo para los malos escritores de tanto folletín: quizás un entrenamiento con Marvel o Netflix les daría resultados más creíbles.

THERE WAS A TIME when official stories were better constructed or perhaps we were more gullible. In those years, they painted dangers that were really scary, bad guys that were scary, and attacks that made anyone’s hair stand on end. Perhaps it was our naivety as a people combined with the information monopoly that the Communist Party enjoyed at the time, but it was enough for us to be told that “the enemy” was planning to poison the cisterns of day care centers and schools for us all to stop, for a few days, drinking. a drop of water at school.
Not even a memory remains of those skillful narrators and our innocence. For this end of the year, Cuban Television has launched itself to create for us the umpteenth story that, from the Cuban exile, sabotage is being prepared, weapons are being prepared and landings are planned. The example given is laughable. A lone man, who supposedly arrived on the island on a jet ski, armed with three pistols and a few bullets. Faced with such a description, one cannot help but remember when, in the stories of yesteryear, the villain really instilled fear and not pity.
For this end of the year, Cuban Television has launched the umpteenth story that, from the Cuban exile, sabotage is being prepared, weapons are being prepared and landings are planned.
It is no coincidence, either, that every time the economic crisis escalates and popular indignation grows, these reports appear with all the traces of following a script to scare Cubans and thus prevent them from showing their discontent, taking to the streets or join a general strike. The theatricality of the scripts created with this objective has long ago abandoned realism and has entered the realm of the fantastic, appealing to increasingly bizarre individuals, plans and devices.
The most recent delusions of persecution and invasion that official propagandists have spread show a very high level of desperation. They have lost any iota of objectivity, if they ever had it, to end up in the absolutely grotesque. Thus, with these caricatures of alleged evildoers and attacks, no one believes anything.
A piece of advice for bad writers of so many serials: perhaps training with Marvel or Netflix would give them more credible results.
