Manuel Rodríguez Pérez, un asturiano que llegó de España a Cuba cuando apenas tenia unos 13 años con su boina roja y su pelo largo, pero a los pocos años ya lucía su mostacho de oreja a oreja.

Algunos lo comenzaron a considerar, como a otros casos de personajes populares, que tenia un “tornillo flojo”, pero nada de eso, con su enorme bigote y una alegría contagiosa Bigote e’ Gato poseía un bar en la Habana Vieja, en la calle Tte.
