Ana de Armas nació en Camaguey, Cuba el 30 de abril de 1988. A los 14 años comenzó sus estudios en la Escuela Nacional de Teatro de La Habana, donde se graduó después de 4 años. A los 16 años realizó su primera película, Virgin Rose (2006), dirigida por Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón.

Algunos títulos llegaron hasta que se mudó a España, donde continuó su carrera cinematográfica y comenzó en la televisión. En 2014 se mudó a Los Ángeles donde ha comenzado una nueva y vertiginosa carrera artistica.

LOS PREMIOS “GOLDEN GLOBES” EN HOLLYWOOD.

Hoy el cable nos trae la nueva noticia de que Ana de Armas, será la primera cubana nominada a los premios Globos de Oro y ha sido elegida también como una de las presentadoras de la inminente ceremonia, que tendrá lugar hoy domingo 5 de enero en el Hotel Beverly Hilton de Los Ángeles, EEUU.

La Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA), que organiza y entrega los galardones, dio a conocer la primera relación de artistas que subirán al escenario para desvelar el nombre de los ganadores.

José Tejedor Sibate1​ nació un 7 de agosto de 1922 en la Habana, Cuba y comenzó su carrera artistica haciendo presentaciones en su barrio, Santos Suárez en programas de aficionados, fiestas de amigos y actuaciones en diversos locales destacandose como compositor, guitarrista y cantante de boleros.​

Tejedor fue un cantante sobrio, afinado, con un estilo que siempre mantuvo, se dice que era un ciego con luz en la voz. Pesaba más de 250 libras. Pero su vocación musical era innegable, y su entusiasmo contagiaba al más indiferente. Entre sus éxitos se destacan Boleros como ‘En las tinieblas’,’Doce veces’, ‘Cuando estés muy sola’, ‘Como nave sin rumbo’ y ‘Con tu nombre en los labios’.

Tajador que era ciego desde su infancia y comenzó a presentarse en 1937 en el programa de radio La Corte Suprema del Arte en la estación CMQ. En noviembre de 1958 hizo sus primeras grabaciones en los estudios de Radio Progreso y llegaría a convertirse con el paso del tiempo en una figura indispensable de la música romántica en Cuba.

En 1959, ya era conocido ampliamente en toda Cuba y era exito en las victrolas del país.

Fue de gran importancia para su carrera el conocer a Luis Oviedo Medero, con quien entablaría una amistad y haría numerosas colaboraciones musicales en las que Oviedo cantaba con voz de falsete. El dúo se presentó en bailes populares y en centros nocturnos. La radio también le abrió sus puertas no así la televisión, donde muy pocas veces aparecieron.

Con la popularidad del ciego que cantaba de forma tan maravillosa los boleros y en especial, los boleros morunos, la disquera Areito también lo contrató para grabar. Lo mismo, la casa Siboney.

Su estilo, matizado por una gran sensibilidad, no se le parecía al de nadie. Y pese a su fama, se mostraba una persona sencilla, amable y afectuosa.

En 1959, realizó sus grabaciónes con la Disquera Rosy y contó con la participación del pianista y arreglista Javier Vázquez. Más tarde, Tejedor sería contratado por la productora Discuba.

Para muchos, su arte era un misterio. Tejedor llenó una época del bolero cubano en los 60 y 70, y se mantuvo en los Festivales Boleros de Oro en los 80 y principios de los 90 hasta su fallecimiento.

Nadie como Tejedor cantará aquello de “Me abandonaste en las tinieblas de la noche / y me dejaste sin ninguna orientación”, ni entonará el llamado al respeto por el amor, el romance de complicidad con los amantes que estalla cuando su voz, entre límpida y gruesa informa: “Porque tu amor es mi espina/ por las cuatro esquinas hablan de los dos / que es un escándalo dicen…”

Según comentarios de la época “Aquel negro gordo y ciego hizo soñar, recordar y llorar dulcemente a dos o tres generaciones”.

Tejedor murió el 2 de noviembre de 1991 en La Habana.
