Según el testimonio del citado funcionario “en esos servicios se registraron 1153 quejas, lo cual está por debajo de la media mundial”. Sin embargo, el dato que obvia el funcionario es que el nivel de envíos en otros países es también muy superior en relación con Cuba.

Ahora bien, ¿Cuáles son los motivos de las quejas? Según José Manuel Valido, la gran mayoría de las insatisfacciones tienen que ver con retrasos en los procesos operacionales y con la entrega en destino.

De cara a 2018, Correos de Cuba priorizará y concretará inversiones que permitan solucionar “limitaciones de carácter objetivo” que inciden significativamente en la calidad del servicio. Entre ellas se menciona “la baja disponibilidad técnica del transporte, el procesamiento manual en las plantas de tratamiento postal, y las insuficiencias en los medios informáticos y conectividad”. Este último un viejo mal en Cuba, como es sabido.

También se encuentran entre los objetivos concertar nuevos acuerdos y negocios, que permitan incorporar servicios que todavía no se prestan, y perfeccionar los ya existentes.

En este sentido, figura entre las líneas estratégicas de la empresa aumentar la preparación y superación técnica y profesional del personal que trabaja en Correos.

Entre las actividades del año, el funcionario mencionó que el próximo 1 de marzo ―con motivo del 262 aniversario de la fundación del Correo cubano― se hará una cancelación postal conmemorativa y la inauguración de una Exposición Nacional de Filatelia Temática y Juvenil.
