Los estudiantes cubanos que quieran cursar estudios en Estados Unidos podrán optar a una de las becas de la fundación Clara Lionel Foundation, de la cantante barbadense Rihanna. La artista estadounidense anunció este martes a través de su cuenta en Instagram el lanzamiento del programa escolar y enlazó a la página de la fundación para promover la inscripción de solicitudes.
El programa está dirigido a jóvenes de Cuba, Estados Unidos, Barbados, Brasil, Jamaica, Guyana y Haití y otorga incentivos de entre 5.000 y 50.000 dólares que se pueden renovar durante tres años consecutivos o hasta que se obtenga la licenciatura, en función de lo que suceda primero. Podrán recibir la beca quienes hayan sido aceptados en un instituto de enseñanza superior o universidad de cuatro años acreditados en Estados Unidos. También serán elegibles los estudiantes universitarios de primer año por primera vez que tengan planeado inscribirse en estudios de pregrado de tiempo completo en un instituto de enseñanza superior o universidad de cuatro años acreditados, durante todo el año académico 2016 – 2017.
