LA TELEVISIÓN ESPAÑOLA (Telecinco) está produciendo desde hace ya algunos meses una serie de acción y a la vez de comedia que está llamando fuertemente en la popularidad española “Olmos y Robles”.
Una serie que retrata la vida de dos agentes de la Guardia Civil que investigan un caso de lo más misterioso en la localidad española riojana de Ezcaray.
Uno de sus protagonistas, Rubén Cortada, un joven actor cubano, Jorge Rubén Cortada Soto1 nació en la Isla de la Juventud (Isla de Pinos), Cuba, el 6 de octubre de 1984 es además modelo y fotógrafo. Además, actualmente es propietario de un restaurante alejado de la zona de turismo.
De extracción humilde. Realizó el bachillerato en la Escuela Vocacional Vladimir Ilich Lenin, conocida popularmente como ‘la Lenin’. Posteriormente, en el 2003 ingresa en Ingeniería Automática en la Cujae, aunque no terminó sus estudios en el Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría de La Habana.4
Hasta los quince años compitió en tenis.

“Robles está formado en el grupo de élite de la Guardia Civil, el Grupo de Acción Rápida (G.A.R.) y ha sido preparado para enfrentarse a todo tipo de enemigos y situaciones extremas”, explica Rubén Cortada durante un descanso del rodaje de la serie, que se está desarrollando en Madrid y La Rioja.
A diferencia de otros papeles que ha interpretado en televisión, en esta ocasión Rubén Cortada interpreta a un tipo equilibrado, responsable y obsesionado con su trabajo, un gran investigador que, además, “es un tipo asocial. Su punto débil es su vida personal. Es muy hermético y Olmos va a intentar provocar alguna fisura en Robles y entrar en su mundo”.
