Estorino Abelardo López was born in Union de Reyes, Matanzas and died in Havana, 22 November 2013) he was a playwright, director and theater critic Cuban.
After attending high school in Matanzas, he trained as a dental surgeon and served as such for three years (1954-1957) while he combined work with his literary vocation.
