The US government today announced further reductions on travel and trade with Cuba, including the authorization under certain conditions to provide telecommunications services and to open bank accounts and businesses on the island.
These new relaxations of the embargo “are designed to support the emerging Cuban private sector,” he said in a statement the Ministry of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, announcing the measures with Treasury Secretary Jack Lew.

El Gobierno de EEUU anunció hoy nuevas reducciones a los viajes y el comercio con Cuba, que incluyen la autorización bajo ciertas condiciones de brindar servicios de telecomunicaciones y de abrir cuentas bancarias y negocios en la isla.
Estas nuevas relajaciones del embargo “están diseñadas para apoyar al sector privado cubano emergente”, indicó en un comunicado la secretaría de Comercio de EEUU, Penny Pritzker, al anunciar las medidas con el secretario del Tesoro, Jack Lew.
