DESDE CUBA “LA ISLA DE LA MÚSICA” CANTA IVETTE CEPEDA
Muchos coinciden en aquello de “Cuba, la isla de la música”. Los cazadores de talento , y me confieso uno de ellos, sentimos rebosar el alma cada vez que tropezamos- por casualidad o búsqueda- con algo que merece ser compartido. Pues así se las presento.
Ella es Ivette Cepeda, quizás la joya musical de mayor quilate en estos momentos en Cuba, y no quisiera me tildaran de ampuloso en mi referencia. Esta mujer, maestra de profesión en la especialidad de matemáticas, se percató un buen día que a la música debía dedicarse. Para suerte de todos no lo hizo tan tarde aunque ya raya los cuarenta y algo. Empírica ciento por ciento, sin embargo se muestra segura desde la primera nota, tanto en los sobre agudos como en los graves. Tránsito que ejecuta con total facilidad… Ahí radica una de sus grandes virtudes naturales, sumando lo juiciosa que ha sido en la selección de su repertorio. Cancionera por excelencia, preferiría definirla. El bolero, la trova, la canción, el son , cierta guaracha, un punto guajiro y la balada tienen en La Cepeda un acento muy particular, y su voz rasgada coadyuva en mucho.
Esta vez aparecía en la sala-teatro del Museo Nacional de bellas Artes de La habana, Cuba. Para la ocasión el maestro Rafael Guedes, director del conjunto Mayohuacán, le realizó los arreglos musicales de muchas de las composiciones. Todos coincidimos en la valía de la propuesta, la cual gozó de una instrumentación exquisita, algo no muy usual para los conciertos cubanos, quizás por lo encarecido de la pretensión orquestal: piano, violines, violas, chelos, trompeta, clarinete, oboe, acordeón, percusión, drums, guitarra, tres…
Ahora quiero dejarlos con uno de los momentos sublimes, justo el colofón de la noche. Otro de los éxitos de la dramaturgia del espectáculo pues “Tú eres la música que tengo que cantar ” es una de esas composiciones que arranca los aplausos desmedidamente. Cuba ya la conocía desde que Tony Pinelli, su autor, la presentaba a través de nuestro querido Pablo Milanés en un Festival de la canción Adolfo Guzmán donde obtuvo el Gran Premio. Ivette Cepeda nos la regresa contemporánea y excelsa. Disfrútenla…
